Overview

The Enable USB Prevention setting controls whether the system prevents users from using USB devices on their system.

Options

  • On - USB storage devices are blocked
  • Off - Normal USB device usage is allowed
USB prevention requires USB Detection to be on. Blocked attempts appear in Device Events as USB Blocked.

How to Configure

  1. Go to Administration → Tracker Settings → Tracking Options → Global
  2. Make sure USB detection is on
  3. Under USB devices, turn USB prevention on or off
  4. Click Save changes
To set it for one user, see Update User Tracker Settings.
Enabling USB Prevention will block USB device access for affected users. Ensure this aligns with your organisation’s policy before enabling.
